Female Electricians

Female Electrician

Electricians are in constant demand and there is definitely a market for female electricians. … Women feel more comfortable hiring their own gender rather than having a male electrician especially if they live alone or are elderly.

There is no reason why a woman cannot do this job. It is physically demanding and hard work but also really rewarding.

An electrical apprenticeship is a life-changing experience especially for a young woman who wants to enter what would have been deemed many years ago a man’s world. With equal opportunities, an apprenticeship can open many doors and help further their careers and enable global travel.

Between 2019 -2020 thirteen females applied for an apprenticeship compared to only seven between 2018 -2019.

According to the Cardiff City Council and the BBC, Cardiff will need an extra 9,900 charging points for electric cars by 2025 to cope with an increase in demand, a council report has said.

The city which aims to go green currently has fewer than 100 charging points and needs about 10,000 in four years.

The report detailing the council’s push to get the city carbon neutral by 2030 suggested nine out of 10 cars could be electric by 2035.

Therefore electricians should reach out to the Council and submit tenders in preparation to the demand of installations.
